I've been experimenting quite a lot with Mimic. In addition to the above comments on having clean audio, each character having his/her own track with no overlaps, I've found that it sometimes works best to have short .wav files. Cut your audio file about .5 sec before the sound starts up then cut it off after the line of audio. If there is a pause then make two .wav files of it. It really doesn't like long stretches of silence at the beginning or end and it doesn't like breaks in the middle. Check out my FAQ for Mimic and IM me if you have more problems.
