Thanks to all who responded to this thread.  Well I went ahead and purchased the said mini PC and loaded up Poser 13.  The first big impact is with the preview where the materials are portrayed cartoon like, particularly skin, but other than that Poser seems responsive and I can use my 3Dmouse with no issues.  For scene testing the miniPC will give a test render quite quickly.

Above is the preview screen, while below is a render using the fast CPU preset and stopped after 5 samples, which takes around a minute.

I was quite pleased with this as there is enough detail to decide if the scene works and also check for errors such as people hovering six inches off the deck.

I am going to continue to play but I am happy so far, the unit worked from the box and it took around 15 minutes to set up Windows 11 and install Poser 13.   So far no issues with any On-line banking, PDF creation and all the other day to day stuff which will be it's prime role.

I use Poser 13 on Windows 11 - For Scene set up I use a Geekcom A5 -  Ryzen 9 5900HX, with 64 gig ram and 3 TB  storage, mini PC with final rendering done on normal sized desktop using an AMD Ryzen Threadipper 1950X CPU, Corsair Hydro H100i CPU cooler, 3XS EVGA GTX 1080i SC with 11g Ram, 4 X 16gig Corsair DDR4 Ram and a Corsair RM 100 PSU .   The desktop is in a remote location with rendering done via Queue Manager which gives me a clearer desktop and quieter computer room.
