The XML format files contain the metadata displayed in the details tab but not all content contains it, especially older content.  However, you have 2 options to input that information manually.  The details can be added directly to the details tab or use the Meta Builder Script which is more robust and contains more entry selections.  It is time-consuming but you can include documentation instructions for content use.
