Subject: Poser 10/Pro XML error after PC crash

Can anyone advise on how to cure this? I had a scene opening and was having to search for some texture files when the screen went black, the standby light on the monitor came on and the PC fans went mad. I couldn't get the machine to respond so I did a power off/restart and now I get this when I launch Poser. Poser itself seems to work OK so I'm guessing one of the files has got corrupted. Any idea's on how to cure it before I do a reinstall? There's no 'repair' option available in Windows.

Thanks

I would opt for a Poser reinstall.  There are Windows repair options, but I don't think running them will fix your problem.  It sounds like corruption, but based on your description of events, it sounds more like a virus hitting your system.  Reboot your computer and rerun Poser.

HEH! Just about to reinstall and I thought, what would happen if I tried reloading the file that I was working on when it crashed. Luckily it loaded, I managed to get the texture files loaded and then saved it. The error has now gone. Guess I've been lucky!
