While that's very true, don't let that dissuade you. Biggest problem is getting the product into DS correctly in the first place, then finding the new asset. So if your familiar with that quagmire, you've most of the battle won.
I've been acquiring "older" assets for some time now, as the artistry is there (some of the best on the planet I think), just a bit hindered by the technology of the time of release. Which is why use DS only as an intermediary & export out of via OBJ, or FBX for characters. My head would 'splode trying to work in DS frankly, but it is doable. I'd suggest tackling each prop separately though, as to not get overwhelmed.
From there, I can apply the texturing in PBR, and they really look great.
I do not own the product but I have purchased many non-Daz products and used them in Daz. The materials do not always look the same as they would when using them in Poser. However that is where the Daz shaders come in handy. Ground shaders will help with the texture on the outside walls. The rock shaders would work well for the ground. Stoneware shader works great on the pottery. Old wood shaders work well on the wood. Any of the desert theme items will work well with this as well.
If you take a look at the store page, the one gallery image that is cross referenced with this product is a Daz Studio render. That would suggest that you can atleast get it imported into DS,
I have never had a problem importing a poser product into DS, and as long as you have a basic knowledge of the surfaces tab, you can make adjustment for rendering with both 3DL and iray render options.

Does anyone know if this product works in DazStudio?
It has some props, that would be useful. But it only mentions poser 7+
