Sadly any skin shader for DAZ Studio is way too dark.
Go download "Venitian Sunrise HDRI" from the Poly Haven website for free and use it as a reference.
You can see a lot of people in the background in it. Set all render settings to default and adjust your skin shader to match those people's skin color.

Exactly.
They change the skin tone by using SSS settings or ramping up the gamma or just washing it out by lightening a darker texture.
That doesnt work.
Never mind so many of the Daz textures are so red!
(always have to go in and change those colours in the surface tab so they dont all look like they have some sort of sunburn)

Most merchant resources are just standard mid-range "beige" (as in the make up colour) and not actually taken from a pale skin model.
