That would be weird, as Windows does not need Python.
You should find more information by taking a look at the Events Journal (probably the one of Windows XP).
Another place where you should take a look: Windows XP may also not automatically recognize one of the devices that have been used in the VirtualBox instance.
Last information: I've been told that VirtualBox is not as good as it used to be, especially on Windows 11. In my case, I have a virtual instance of an old Ubuntu, running on Windows 11's own Hyper-V manager.
