And yet again, is Poser using free open source tools and make you pay for it.
Who would have ever believed, Bondware invested in creating anything usefull on their own?

It's open source, meaning they can modify it however they want to suit Poser, unlike the previous cloth room they couldn't do much with because it was licensed, which is why it didn't change much in nearly 20 years. They should have replaced that mess with bullet back when they first added it to Poser 10/2014. But better late than never. 

Hiring developers isn't cheap. When a company has limited development funds, open source code they can modify to suit their needs is the next best option. Plus, it's not like the average user would ever have a clue how to implement bullet (or any other physics engine) on their own. They're paying for the convenience of having it done for them.
