Posting them for free, for use in personal works, would in no way violate Id's copyright. Folks have done it all the time with skins and models for Quake, which is what revived the Doom Marine in Quake 3. Violation of copyright can only occur if the product is used, without permission, to make money...therefore, selling the models would be a violation, giving them away or using them in personal non-profit artwork (like in the gallery) would not. I've seen Poser models of both Crash and Orbb, both of which can be seen if you search the gallery. I've even offered to provide hosting space for such files, should anyone wish to make them available for free, as noted above.
