Yikes, sorry I got delayed on this, Mike. I've had a difficult time keeping a connection going this weekend; something weird with the phone lines, i think. At any rate, here's the full list of entries: tradivoro Sacred Rose Ms Outlaw agiel LarryF (At least, I hope that's everyone!) ;) Please take a review look at all five images, then make your vote here in this thread. Then we just count the votes and pick a winner. Remember this is a casual and friendly competition -- no wagering, please. ;D

Yep, just pick one, any one you like. The winner gets to choose the next Theme and to display the award logo with his/her image. They receive everlasting fame and our undying devotion, plus all the prize money which amounts to a small fortune. Um...well, the fame consists of having their nick at the top of the page and it lasts about a month, and the pize money doesn't really exist. But it sure sounds good, doesn't it? :DMS Outlaw, I am soooo sorry I missed yours. :( I do remember the picture though, and I'm slapping myself for forgetting.... Thanks for noticing my mistake, Varian! Making a decision for how I want to vote this time is very difficult, as the entries were ALL very good, and since I'm about to drop from exhaustion right now, I can't even think, so I'll just wait until tomorrow to vote... Thanks everyone...what we lacked in quantity, we more than made up for in quality. :)
This is the hardest choice yet! They are all fantastic! But, since I have to choose just one, I vote for agiel. Sorry I didn't come up with one this month, but I got a little to involved with another scene that I finally just put in the gallery. Three seperate renders composted, over 80 hrs. total render time. Rich
OK, I've thought about it enough now. Again, I think they all were great images, and actually I think it's never been this close, at least, I've never had so much trouble deciding. I think I have to go with Ms_Outlaw too though... I really love the coloring and the lighting and the materials on that picture, but what really made me decide is that the glass horses do seem to have a "living" quality to them, hard to describe. So, my vote is for Ms_Outlaw.
Ok, as it stands now at the moment I'm typing this: Tradivoro: 4 Agiel: 3 Ms_Outlaw 3 Sacred Rose 1 LarryF 0 (Hey Larry, again, that was a beautiful picture!) .................... As always, the voting will end at Midnight Tuesday eastern time, and (hopefully) tomorrow the winner will have a new challenge ready to announce..
Well this is definitely a tough one. Paul's image knocked my socks off, Laurent's has some incredible textures, Mz O's image did a great play with reflections, and Beck's was very peaceful. Finally, I'm gonna vote for Larry's because of its utter simplicity and the colors. I hope we'll be able to work on still life images again in the future. Seeing what came out of this round is incredibly inspiring! :)
Sorry, Luca, but you didn't make it.... The voting ended midnight eastern US time, which, I think is -5:00 GMT. I'll try to come up with a better system for the November challenge, since I know alot of the regulars here are in Europe, and a few even in Australia, where it's already "tomorrow". or is it yesterday there? hmmm......
Hmm well.. when you missed me MikeJ I wasn't worried since I thought to myself "whew, I don't have to worry about having to come up with a challenge." Not that I expected to have to worry about it. Maybe I was saved and Tradivoro can think of something cool. Got to say this was fun. I learned a lot in my attempts at textures (then I end up doing glass ~L~) If Tradivoro has mind block like me... maybe we could each provide a word... like mine would be 'Wet'.... he would provide another. ~shrugs~ that is the ONLY thing I can think of.... Thanks everyone, especially you MikeJ for running this.
That's actually a nice way to come up with a cooperative challenge. I wouldn't have thought about it... Looking forward to the next one (after taking a week of 'break', I feel the rust kicking in...)

Did we really only have 3 entries this month? I was searching for more, but all I seem to have come up with is the 3 links below: Larry F: http://www.renderosity.com/messages.ez?ForumID=12368&Form.ShowMessage=452736 Agiel: http://www.renderosity.com/messages.ez?Form.ShowMessage=442780 Sacred Rose: http://www.renderosity.com/viewed.ez?galleryid=98868 In any event, at least they were all good. :) We'll be taking your votes for two days, today and Tuesday, and then whoever wins gets to name the next challenge. I think for the November challenge though, we're going to have a new rule that all the entries need to go into one designated thread. It'll be easier that way. I'm sorry if I missed anything, but this was really all I could find. I know Varian made one, but it had been an old one, and he said it was not to be entered into the challenge for competetion. I know he and others also did alot for the sub-challenge, the "fabric" part of it, but we only vote on the Theme challenge, which in this case was "Still Life" If it turns out that I did in fact miss anyone, gby all means, speak up! And though we'll start voting today, if anyone has been omitted, we will have a re-vote. Hey, what can I say? I'm a Floridian: We're not known for our ability to supervise elections. ;) Cheers! Mike
