I have a prop with some props like childs, Everything goes ok, but when i add to the library, when i open it from library, all the relationships have broken and all the props are in diferents places around the screen. When i add to the library i do next way: 1. Select the main prop ( the parent) 2. I select the subset ( in the pop up) all the props, the parent and the childs. 3. i add to the library What an i doing wrong? Help! thanks.

Okies... 1. Select the Prop you want to save AFTER you have placed it inot the postion you want it (ie, earring on the ear, etc.. 2. Go to Object>Properties 3. Click "Set Parent" 4. In the dialog...select ONLY the section the prop is connected to. (For instance...for an earring, select Head...for a bracelet, select one of the forearms, etc.) 5. Make sure the prop is selected, then add it to your prop library...make sure to click "Yes" when it asks if you want to save as a smart prop. Hope that was what you needed. ;o)

Don't know if this will work...I have never tried parenting a prop to a prop. shrug After parenting it...try going to Edit>Memorize>Element and then save the prop. HEY!!!...EXPERTS...help the guy out her! ;o)

I'm not sure how this would work with props that have multiple children... I don't know if you can save more than one prop at a time as a prop... but this is what I would do, and granted, this is the long way around. First, parent all of the props to the parent, then save each child, and the parent prop by themselves, making sure that for each child, when Poser asks if you want to save as a smart prop, you choose yes. Then when you're reloading, load the parent prop first, then reload each child... the children should reparent themselves to the child.

naaaaaah. okay, it goes like this: you CANT save multiple props AND smart-parenting of the props both at the same time. you can do one or the other. what i would do, is save all the props (select subset, like you have been doing) into one prop file. then, go in with a cr2editor, and change all the props' parents from UNIVERSE to whatever it is they are supposed to be parented to. re-save your pp2. then they will work (unless you try to save them again) ;) if it doesn't work, and they re-appear all scattered, then you might have to save them one at a time as smart props, then combine all the pp2's in a cr2editor.

Another thing you might be able to do is (once you get everything parented to on parent) open the heirarchy editor and select the parent and then click on the create new figure. This will make the props into a CR2 and save it in the character library New Figure folder. It will still be, more or less, a prop but you can import and save it like a figure. It has been a while since I did this, so I may have missed a step but I know this works.

I have also run a prop through setup...just to make it a character, then you can parent them

Well, it is ok now. I export every prop like .obj, and then import again into poser. I put the relationships again and everything goes well them. ( in Poser 4.03, but no in Poser 4.0) Thanks for help
