first check out my website's tutorials section, there are a few geared toward texturing and there are 4 free sets (1 each for the P4s and the millinium couple) As to putting textures into you library you have 2 options. 1. set your figure up in poser load the textures the way you want them and save as a character. This takes up more room on your hard drive but is easy for a novice. 2. create a mat pose file. This method is the most versitile method and takes up less room, but is not as easy to do because you will need to edit the file in text mode. (I haven't even done this, I usually do all my textures manually or by method 1)
