The problem your getting with the .phi is the names in it for the hip and abdomen do not match the group names in the .obj. Poser is very particular about case when it comes to it's files. You must have "Hip" in the .phi if you have "Hip" in the .obj. Use "hip" instead... and you'll get the same problem again. Though it is best to deal directly with the original .obj, you can use an exported one if you make sure ALL of the parameters are set to "0". One thing to keep in mind though is... in the cr2, Poser "welds" identical verticie. The result of your export may not match the original verticie count which would cause all morphs for that particular part to not work. I don't use Max, but I believe the name of that plugin for it to handle .obj's is HABWare or something like that. I remeber seeing something on Steve Cox's site about it.
