Bink is a great compression algorithm for animation files. It has it's own player but in the case of this .exe, the player's been built (or compiled) into it so you don't have to get the player. The player and tool can be downloaded at: www.radgametools.com. It's an easy download and install and then you can compress large anims beautifully. The trick is getting anyone to download the player to see them... which is why the option to make .exe is nice. Except then MAC people can't see them...
