MikeJ: Well I have put in more lights, but distributed them differently. So now, I got a couple of days with rendering. All of my pictures need better rendering, but with my crappy old computer, I cant do that! I only have V dE 2.0 and Coreldream 7, so thats what Im using. I cant realy afford newer and better software, not that they cost much, but the hardware I would need, do! Honestly, even if I had a powerfull computer and the latest software, I wouldnt be able to make so good people. Ive never been good at drawing people at all. Things are a lot more easier. How realistic do you want your Waiting Girl to become? I could more or less slaughter it. Take it to pieces and tell you all the errors. One thing that make it look fake, is the white/grey walls. There are no structure in them. The same thing with the curtains. Single colors make things look unnatural. The curtains seems to hang in the air. Whats holding them up? Just like me, you have problems with the lights. If you want it to be photo realistic, then drop V dE. Shadows are never grey. I learned that, when I watched paintschool on television. Look on the shadows around you. Theyre red, blue and yellow, depending on the color from the texture that they have been reflected by. If you look at the shadows on the womans legs. They are just a darker color of her skin. But in real life, they would have been slightly red, because of the red texture on the bed. With so much light hitting that red texture, the light would bounch back and hit the other objects. The ceiling should have a red shine. The ceiling also need structure! I hope I didn' make you upset? Ms_Outlaw: (If you read this though.) What are you trying to make? If you got any problems, then just ask. Ive only been using VdE 2.0 during the last 4 months, but it could happen that I could help you. Send me an instant message or e-mail if you wonder about anything.
