Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2024 Nov 29 7:57 am)
yeah go ahead and delete them (after backing them up on disk of course) for example I've deleted the poser3 and other low res figures, all of the dressed characters, the robots, the P3 hair, a large section of the poses (to make room for the mat files) And BTW if you delete them from the library inside poser, the textures and .obj files will still be there.
One of the larger hog of space, after the texture directory, is the geometries directory. Poser uses the obj file to create the rsr file, nearly doubling the size of space the files take. Once rsr file is created the obj file is no longer needed. After write protecting the rsr file and backing up the obj file you can remove the obj file. I did that and gained over 180 megs.

There are so many figures I've never used (and I've been using Poser for two years or so) and the characters plus their textures in .tif format take valuable disk space. I can't afford a bigger hard drive at the moment and the drive on which I have Poser is getting too full...
