You know, I do all my models in rhino and I export them all as .3ds files, and havent ever had a problem with importing them into Bryce. Shoot, Ive got over 200 models for download on my site(including ships) and every one of them was rendered in Bryce. Ive also got a tutorial on my site(From Poser2Bryce) that explains how to add textures to your models in Bryce as well as adding new material presets(Steps 3 & 4)and yes, you can use Bryce 3 materials in Bryce 4, as for Bryce 2 materials..Im not sure of.
