Subject: modelling from a plane

I use truespace a lot and the way I do things is I start with a plane and use a reference image behind it. I can add vertices to this plane and adjust them so the plane fits the 2D image one, then I bevel the plane and make sure it fits a side reference image. Is it possible to just add vertices to a plane in lightwave? The closest thing I've found is the knife tool but that doesn't do the same thing.

You might get a better response to this question in the Lightwave forum. I don't use Lightwave. But I think I've heard you can't add vertices. I think I heard someone complaining about it a while ago. ScottA
