I have had Photoshop 6.0 for almost a year and worked fine before I changed the operative system. It is frustrating, I can't figure out what is wrong... It is a serious problem, when the pop up error window appears and I close it then another one pops up and again and again in a loop and I can't do anything... I have even problems to shut down the Pc or log out! When I restart the PC the error is still there and keeps opening pop up windows telling Explorer.exe caused error and had to be closed. The only solution I found is log out and then log in as Administrator, renaming my profile. Next time I log in using my user name, my old profile is recreated empty and I have to move my setting from the renamed one to the new one. When I restart the PC everything works fine until the next crash happens. I can work without problems for some days and then bam! Given the error message I think the problem is with win 2000, but the fact that almost every time is related to a jpg file and I only use Photoshop to open them makes me think of compatibility issues with win 2000... I'm going crazy!
