Welcome, Digitaljonny; Poser is a bit frustrating when you begin, but once you get the hang of it it gets really fun. I've been a poseraddict for about 6 months now and I'm really starting to get great results - learning more about Poser AND photoshop all the time. You've come to the right place to ask questions; everyone here is very friendly and helpful. We even have folks that hang around the boards that work both for Curious Labs and DAZ so sometimes you get some very high level help! Plus all the A++ artists like PhilC who are always ready to lend a hand. Be sure and read the FAQs up at the top of the forum, they have some of the common questions and glitches new poser users run into, and a few of the minor bugs Poser has. Hang around this forum a lot; by reading some of the problems other folks have you can often be ahead of the learning curve. A couple quick tips about photoshop; first, seriously consider the great filters from EyeCandy for photoshop; they're a lot of fun and very useful. Second, know that sometimes images processed in Photoshop have problems being loaded up to the Renderosity galleries - something about the headers photoshop attaches. I downloaded IrfanView, a free image viewing software; my last step is to take the TIFF image I've been working with in photoshop, already sized to meet the gallery limits, and the thumbnail, and take them into irfanview and convert to jpg and save. Wipes out the photoshop headers and the images load great.
