Subject: Texture maps make the difference

My problems with texturing is that I am subtle when it comes to detail. My refinished hydralisk for instance; while it has speculars, bumps and more than one color layer, actually it has 55 separate texture maps equalling 158 megs, people still cannot see the bump map unless you are up close. Like human skin, you don't notice it until you are close, now with my dropshop for instance, well yeah, you can see those bumps from miles away.
