I think your chest is the best bet I have so far for the crate, retexturing it won't be that hard and I could always toss that texture into free stuff to accompany your goodie. Right now I've been playing with the box primitive, and with the texture set right, I can make it LOOK like an ammo box when sized properly, but it won't DO anything.
