Subject: Merry christmas, a question and a thank you.

It seems it's the time of the year I look back ... I'm doing this only one or two times a year because I do believe in that old arabic sayings: ** The past is dead. ** This has changed this year - somehow. Maybe we're all are praying more this christmas, maybe we're all are thinking more about our friends this christmas then the last "happy" holy nights. It seems it has been never more necessary to think about life and how happy we're all finally are: We're living, we (mostly) can pay our bills, we do have enough to eat, we have a house to live in - we're (mostly) living in peace. It's the time of the year to say thank you, God - if you're exist. But it's also the time of the year to remind you that your job isn't done. Many many people are (still) dying of hunger ..., many have lost their friends and family members in a war. So I beg you for the same as the last year: Give this world peace and end the hunger !! Finally I'm glad there is not only sadness in the world. Christmas is also a day for the children. I forgot all my sorrow when I see the happy eyes of a child when unpacking his/her christmas gift. The children are our hope - the children are our real happiness beside the love we can give and get - the only thing we have to do is to remember that. So it's time to honour a promise I made by selling my CD. I promised to pay 1$ for each sold CD to the victims of the 11th September ... so here the question: I wanted to help the children who lost their mom and/or dad during these days - so if anyone of you knows something where I can send some money to I would be very happy if you can tell me. It isn't that much as it should be but I think every cent counts and if I can only ease the pain a little bit - well then it was more then enough. ************************** It is also the time of the year to thank everyone of you in this Forum or in all the other Forums: Thank you for being around - for giving away your stuff with an open heart or selling it. Even if you have nothing to give away thank you for finding this and that nice word for all the artists here and thank you also for your criticism - it brings us all forward. Thank you the buyer for buying some stuff - this helps the artists survive and give them the opportunity to make more beautifull stuff available. Thank you for making all the beautifull and miraculous images - I know I should have commented more but you might know that my time is not that cheap - I hope you understand. Thank you - the staff - off all Forums (Fora) for keeping the stone rolling, thank you Curious Labs, DAZ or any other company for keeping Poser allive. I think this includes everyone ... if not please don't feel forgotten. Just add something to this thank-you-list. ************************** A merry and peacefull christmas to you all, your children, your family and everyone. Schlabber

Thank you for your wonderful words, Schlabber. Happy holidays to you and yours. As far as who to donate to, hmmmm. Hopefully, someone can come up with some useful organizations to recommend to you.

Schlabber the Red Cross comes to mind but I would search for government or city orgs in New York to find where to send contribs. Thank you for all the great stuff you have shared here

Thank you, Schlabber, for your work, and your words. To give of your money and your time and your talent is an admirable thing, but the simple value of reflection is grossly underrated. If more people paused to consider what we do have rather than concentrating on what we don't, or took the time and mental energy needed to understand and think kindly upon others who are not like us, maybe the world wouldn't be the wreck that it is. Just having careful, contemplative, considerate people in the world makes a difference. I am very pleased that you have been able to turn something you love doing creating artwork into a force for good in the world, by donating the proceeds. I'm happier that you're the kind of person who would do that. To More People Like You!
