Subject: Can Materials Be Deleted From A Prop?

I just made a breastplate prop in Rhino and when I imported it into poser there were 18 materials named material1, material2, etc. I've already used the grouping tool to make three materials that replace the 18 others but they are still there. I was wondering if there was a way to get rid of them. Thanks

I usually open the .obj in UVmapper and clean up all of the materials so they are more efficient and organised. ScottA

Where can I get UVMapper? I don't recall seeing it in Free Stuff, perhaps I just missed it.

You can always open the prop file in a text editor, scroll down to the "f" section (the last) and change things by hand. g _____ is a group (the overall name of the prop should be g NAME at the beginning of the "f" section. usemtl ______ are materials. Delete one and the section will be a part of whatever usemtl __ is last above it. Delete all usemtl lines and Poser will assign it one material: "Preview"
