CR2Edit and CR2Editor are 2 very different programs. John's CR2Editor is a text editor, Zenware's CR2Edit is a collection of 50+ automated tools (including a Poser-specialized editor) for working with all Poser files, and includes PStart, a separate app that gives Poser a recent files list (essential if you are at all interested in saving time) Tired, sorry about your disaster, if you lost CR2Edit, please contact me with the name you got it with, replacement copies are free.
