The comment I made about collision detection was in reference to the "physically driven, dynamic draping system" kupa mentioned in a similar thread two months ago. If it doesn't use a form of collision detection, I don't know how else it could be done. kupa also dropped a few tantalizing hints about the Poser 5 renderer.
