I am soon to upload three sets of textures for Xurge's Body Jewels to the Marketplace and my store at 3DCommune. Xurge was nice enough to set me up with a MAT Pose file which will apply all the textures to the Body Jewels with one click. There is however one thing I need to edit on it. What line of code in the MAT file applies to the Highlight Strength? How do I change it from 100% to about 69%? Liz Pope Dreamspinner Inc.

It's called "KsColor" and it's located near the end of the file. You'll need to apply this to each material you want to be at 69% in the MAT file: KsColor 0.0117494 0.0352789 0.070573 1 That should be pretty close to 69% highlight. ScottA

KsColor is the color of the object it appears. Wyrwulf did some tinkering and its the NsExponent which controls the Highlight Strength. That did the trick all right. All 3 Body Jewels textures have been uploaded to the Market Place Store and now the waiting for beta testing begins. Hi yah Geep! I'm really, really proud of these textures for the Body Jewels. I'm currently working with Xurge on his new Fantasy Armor set for Michael2. I've completed all the textures for them (Themed, Fyr and Ice). And now I'm waiting for him to send me the link to the Female version of the Fantasy Armor. Am I smoking now Geep? Liz

I was just just reflecting on one of your first creations (which I saved, remember the "cuffs?" - got that jpeg here .... somewhere), and compared that with what I see above ... and ...

you've come a looooooooooooooooog way, baby.

(has nothin' to do with those horrid, bad smelling, dangerous, costly, health hazardly, offensive, cigarettes. (that I still enjoy sigh))

cheers, (anyway) ;=]
dr geep

Boy, has this placed changed. I did a couple of posts to the gallery and within a few hours, they were already down on page 5. I can remember when people would "bitch" because their post would not stay on page 1 for a day. Oh well, I guess that's progress(?).

Ok, ok, end of rant.

Oh, I remember those days too, Geep. Now I go by who many people have looked at my picture rather than commented on. If you check out our Gallery, you'll see quite a few lovely ladies I've done recently. One of them is called Marria which I hope to be a site guide for a muscian's site whom I'm very found of. (I speak now with his daughter). The other is a Warrior woman in a dungeon who I'm going to get back to sometime. It's one of the few times I've felt like telling a little story through Poser. Just haven't figured out what nasties she should meet next in the dungeon. (P.S. I'm a chain smoker myself when I do Poser....) I still have those cuffs by the way and play with them occassionally..... When are you going to make Professor by the way? Liz wink

Oops..Sorry Liz. The color does control the intensity so That's what I thought you were looking for. I didn't realize you wanted to edit the slider control. ScottA

Yepper. The MAT Pose file that Xurge set me up with (which I am so thankful for!) had all the highlights on the Body Jewels set at max strength. My texture sets look a bit better if the highlight strength is set back to about 69%. I mean they're render all right at 100%, but I just felt they looked better with less highlight and wanted to set that up in the MAT Pose file. It is of course up to the buyer after they get it if they want to up the lightlight more than I've set it to. Got the links last night to the female versions of the Fantasy Warrior sets he's working on, so now I get to go playing with textures again. I think we've decided to sell separately. He'll sell the Fantasy Warrior sets and I'll try to get my textures ready and get them up at the same time. He's sending me some poses for Mike because all I have are some silly standing around doing nothing poses instead of some action Poses which the Fantasy Warrior Armor needs. So I'll be able to start on my advertisement pictures. I'm horrible at writing readme files, but I'll manage.
