If you want a pale texture you can play with the ambient color in the materials menu. Usually it's set with black , use a black a little more clear by example RGB 70 70 70. to view a preview change the skinbody and the skinhead only.If you aply ambient color to the eyes or lips they will be more realistic. If you want a platinum blond hair there are a method using an grayscale texture, if you want how make it say it me.

The eyebrowns and skinbody are in black ambient color (default) Yo can see the great difference!
