The new version of UVMapper encoding (UVS) will support the addition of new materials, but I am not sure it will encode a new geometry. If it will not, then objaction mover is your only option. If your new submission is free, this is no problem. If you wish to sell it, you will need permission to use OM. There was supposed to be a pro version of OM, but as far as I know, it has been hanging fire for a year. The DAZ info is more about how to do new character based on V2 morphs and share them in a way that protects their copyright. If it is morph based character, there are ways of doing this, that avoid the necessity for the character CR2. This will avoid needlessly burning bandwidth and drive space involved in re-providing V1 morphs, which everyone has already.
