It is indeed an expensive hobby. You can find relatively inexpensive Conan-style swords (like the one from Museum Replicas), but they aren't a good match. At the other end of the spectrum, you've got limited-edition masterworks (like the stuff from Albion Armorers), perfect replicas that cost upwards of $10000.

I have no movie replicas myself, but have "collected" quite a few generic swords over the years.
