Well, it's sort of like that, but they don't really "grow", as in get larger. What it is, is E-on Software's "Solid Growth" that they came up with. Basically, the plants are not models (meshes), but more like mathematical algorithms. When you add, say a maple tree to your scene, it "grows" and appears in the scene. Then, for example, if you add a second maple tree, it will "grow" too, but it won't be identical to the first one, and so on. Some additional ones will be very similar, but some will be much different. The new ones are from random algorithmic seeds, if I'm understanding it right. And of course, you can resize them as well. You can also animate the materials. But the really cool thing about Vue plants is that even though there are a limited number of shapes and plant types, you can apply all sorts of different image maps to make entirely different plants from the basic shapes.
