If anyone else is going to Arisia (sci-fi convention) in Boston this weekend, i would love to say hi to fellow Renderosity members who will be there! It's very neat to see other Renderositers IRL. Happened upon a very nice young woman at the Balticon art show last spring who also visits these forums, and we had an excellent chat. So... i'm a Guest at Arisia and yeah, i use my real name in the forums, so please look me up and say hi, 'cause i would love to meet you and root through the art show together. --Nan Fredman

Well, congrats on the "nice young woman"! I love hearing stories like that... and we expect to see a Poser render of her the minute you get back. =)

Mercy, i met her back last May! An old fart like me can't remember back that far. ((hangs head in shame)) But i can fake something... ;^)

My wife and I are newlyweds, reunited after all those years. We laugh when we think of how young, fit and nubile we were in the good old days. We're old farts now, and couldn't be happier.

Then I'll see you there :) I'll be in the artshow - but no computer stuff. Dolls, baby blankets, and 'furry' handdrawn stuff. The name's the same - and I'll be wearing black. (like that's stands out at Arisia?) Also planning on doing some sketching in the consuite (trolling for commisions) Over the last coupla years I've seen more Bryce/poser stuff in artshows, and have recognized some 'rosity freestuff too. Hurrah, Lyrra, i'll look for you! Yes, many of us wear a lot of black, though i think i may be madly radical and press a few loud Hawaiian shirts for the occasion. My friend Hannah Shapero often does portraits on the spot at conventions; and i've seen that sort of thing at Balticon, too, at a hall table. See you soon, hope i catch you-- Nan

And yes, digital art is encroaching upon the art shows--it's also getting a lot better than it used to be, though at both Balticon and WorldCon last year the art show director reserved the right to approve or toss digital works! Ron, you old romantic--i am happy for you. My own dear partner is coming with me to Arisia, and i'm just a friendly person, not trolling for lovely ladies! LOL!

Well I'm on shoestring travel budget this year - so I won't have my usual lavish array of costumes. (had to help my ex-wife with her rent in Dec. Ouch!) So I'm just gonna have to be creative with what I can fit in a small backpack. Mostly black. Maybe something red for shock value grin I do mostly furry stuff (and yes I admit it in public) and on the spot sketching is a tradition in furry art :) I've heard of Hannah - in fact I gave my son a small pic by her. He's got some great artwork in his room (Hannah, Robin Wood, Taylor Blanchard, Foglio...) And he's just barely 3 :) I'm hoping to have some 3d furry stuff at Anthrocon next year - but it depends on the muses. :) BTW did you notice a panel on 3dart at Arisia? think it was friday evening - don't have the programming list on hand. See you there! :) Lyrra
