Having left the US only in uniform, I've not the full experience from which to lend advice. However, this one point is a valid one: "adapt or get out". If I were to move to another culture, then stand shocked that said culture rejected me, exactly who would be the fool here? The way I figure it, the US and perhaps a handful of other countries are actually somewhat friendly towards immigrants, and even then, only relatively so. Fact of life and all that. I guess I can sum it up this way: If there is an actual demand for folks of your profession overseas, then go to it. If you don't want to come back, then go where you're needed: If not Canada, then how about Mexico? Just a thought. /P
