I am a native born Canadian, very proud to be a Canadian, I live in the US, to put this simply, it is hard everywhere. Discrimination - will always be here, there and everywhere you must deal with it. You Say Damn Canada, you could say Damn everywhere.....not easy for ANYONE, has been hard since the beginning of time. I know many who's biggest challenge is to eat, who battle cancer, who have Aids.
