Well, I'm not going to try to defend it anymore, I don't think. I personally believe that the Mac version ws released to soon, but all I have to go by would be a scant few comments from only 2 or 3 Mac users so far. The Windows version is actually quite fast, and I would expect the Mac version should be too, but I've never used a Mac, and would have no idea what could be the problem there. As for the crashes, maybe disable the OpenGL "feature" and see if that helps. If you're already not using OpenGL, then I don't know what to say except maybe close down all other background programs you might have running, especially any anti-virus software that maybe be background scanning. On a slightly positive note, I have no doubts that E-on will create patches to solve all the problems, or at least most of them. I'm sure they will at least try, but they seem to have had more difficulty with the Mac OS than with the Windows OS. I just really think the Mac version shouldn't have been released yet. They won a "Best of Show" at the MacWorld Expo earlier this month in San Francisco, and evidently they demonstrated it live in their booth, so however that managed to work, I don't know. Just like with the Windows versions, there are apparently problems that they themselves were not having, but other people do. I just don't understand it....... I know this isn't what you want to hear, but you might just want to plan on it being a while before you can actually use the program efficiently and enjoyably. :(
