Hi this is my new hair and I will use it in my commercial renders for TV or advertising. I'm also busy to make some morph targets for some other hair and the morph targes will be in free stuff soon.

(sitting here amazed and awestruck) HOW DO YOU PEOPLE DO THIS???

Vaio_Con_Dios ( ) posted Wed, 30 January 2002 at 2:31 PM

Thanks, it's hard to make a hairpiece ( I'm still a beginner at making hair) but I use a trick. Take photo's of 1 haircut you like, one from the front, 1 from the right view, one of the left and one of the back. Now you can import one of the pic in your 3D program ( I use Rhino 3d and Maya 4B) and all you have to is draw the hair from the front then from the sides and the back, after that, you have to put them together ( it sounds much easier than it is) and tadaaaaaaaaaa you have your hairpiece. I'm with you VS... I ain't got that kind of patience (which is why I usually stick to structural stuff :) /P

Vaio_Con_Dios ( ) posted Wed, 30 January 2002 at 2:34 PM

If you don't have the patience, you can choose a simple hairstyle. If you want I can send you one of a bob, looks really cool and it's for people between 15 - 25. I also have some long haired pics. VCD

I may indeed have to take you up on that... I'm working on a backyard swimming pool now, but textures and hair sound like a fun direction to move in once I get better at all of this :) My email address is right here... it would be fun to see what can be done with it all. Regd's, /P

Looks great, back the bangs up closer to the head in the side view though.
