Help me please! I've screwed something up and I'm not really sure what to do. I was unzipping some new figures from the Net, when I was done. I found this instead of my P3 nude female model. What can I do? I don't want to reinstall, I have to many add ons... and no space to move files to save stuff. -Thanks!

Ewww, YUCK! :) The John Carpenter effect? I haven't seen it, but I would imagine that's what it is. Try deleting the rsr files from your Runtime/Geometries folder (but FIRST, 'Find' all files in Runtime/Geometries, they should be listed according to name, so you can see which rsr files do not have an OBJ file to match them. If not, DO NOT delete that rsr file) This may or may not work, and if you're not in a hurry, wait for a more definite reply. Newc

WAIT!!! Before you delete this strange shape (that your Poser 3 Nude female figure turned into, please try a couple of things first. 1. Close down Poser, restart it, and then see if this strange shape still exists. If it does, run a virus checker program on the file. (Even if things seem to have returned to normal, run the virus checker program anyway. Some how, something may have corrupted. If every thing still checks out, and you still have the weird blob instead of the Nude female figure, you may need to reinstall the figure from the cd, (or install the figure from a download from someone here at the forum. There's alot of generous people here who may help you if you ask.). Incidentally, that blob is very interesting. It would make a great "Alien Artifact"! You might concider posting it to the Poser Freestuff Page, (assuming it's not going to corrupt someone else's system. Good Luck.

Let's say that all the above fails to work and you end up in a worse case scenerio of a reinstall... Well, all you have to do is copy over the files for this one figure. So you wouldn't be losing all your custom stuff. One thing though. This should serve as a wake up call to buy some means of archival. I recommend a CD burner for it permanency. If this had happened to one of your customized items that wasn't on the Poser CD it would be a disaster. Of course. Try what the above people have suggested before you go an copy the file. But just remember than you can if you need to copy over single files.

Truth has no value without backing by unfounded belief.

Where did Jakaal get his download zip file from? Before unpacking it, he should have looked inside it, and any of the file names duplicate the names of any of the standard Poser models' file names, that shows what it shows.
