Many of us use the poser forum to get feeback on in-progress products. You could see that as advertising, but it isn't really. That's the purpose of the Poser forum - to get help. A separate arena for new product announcements, or advertising...on the surface that makes sense, but the question is whether the wider community would support it. There's a difference between having a convenient place to look for new products, ask vendors questions that aren't covered by the product descriptions etc. (useful, and speaking as a vendor I'd support that - it could only help sales) and having such a forum treated as a way to "do away with all that advertising". There is no point in such a forum if the vendors are talking only to themselves. rcook - I don't know when the idea was last mooted, but there are new vendors appearing in the marketplace every week: those who objected might be in the minority now. I'm on the fence on that one. I'd support such a forum if it were established, but I don't feel confident enough to request it.
