I have 10 years in the Military, and yes the M16 jams quite often, especially in rapid fire. The A1 was worse, the a2 had the forward assist added that was supposed to fix that. many many times on the rifle range my arm would have to go up because of a jammed round. I hate to say it but prolly the most reliable weapon out their are the AK's those damn things could sit in mud for a week someone could come along pick em up and fire em off, their just not as accurate.
