Ron, I agree with you to a certain point. I'm guessing you are around my age (in your 30's or 40's) But I'm afraid times change and unfortunately family and social values are going down the crapper. I agree that cursing in public is still socially unacceptable, but there are certain words that are gaining widespread acceptance and there is nothing you or I can do to change that. Television is (again very unfortunately) a mirror of society. And society has come a LONG way in defining what's acceptable. Remember in the old TV shows, you couldn't have a married couple shown in bed together? Or you couldn't even show a woman's bellybutton? Nowadays, you get to see Allie McBeal french kissing another woman! I'm afraid I've learned to go with the flow. My 6 year old son says things that I would have got slapped for when I was that age, including the words butt, jerk and snot. So back to the word "piss"..... I think the refined older folks here in the forum would prefer not to read these types of words. While others see it as a standard part of todays vocabulary. Who's right? I think both sides are right. The evidence is the previous postings and strong opinions on both sides. (much like the abortion issue) The one thing that we CAN agree on is that everyone is entitled to their opinion and there is no need to get nasty because your opinion differs. Ron very politely stated that he was offended by that word, and he got a lot of hostile replies. While you may not agree with him and will continue using the word piss, you SHOULD allow him his opinion and not bash him for speaking his mind.
