Taking all these points into consideration.. is it better to 'protect' a child from certain words, risking that they might feel discomfort later in life, in the Army, on message boards, in a bank, or elsewhere.. or is it better to explain to our children that 'curse words' are just things that people use to emphasize their speech.. and that they only have as much power as we choose to give them?
