First pic had the light source at 2 oclock, make it 2:30 and pull it towards the front a bit. Sending directional light across the bow, pointing toward the back will look almost the same as the first, yet it will allow the entire ship to be seen but not completely detailed. And give you those shadows you had in the first pic. first pic had 105 prime lens flare, go back to that rather than the 35mm or 50-300 zoom. (it'll cut back on red glow)
