There is a plugin for P3dO Explorer that will easily convert all png files to rsr in a directory. I think P3dO Explorer can still be found for free at Seno Software at http://lcrepiliere.free.fr/Chriscox, altough I announced a shareware P3dO it doesn't mean I'll block users once the trial period is over - there won't be any trial course anyway. All features actually free in P3dO will remain free and some further ones will still be gifted. The shareware will be something like a blanked function from time to time and even no "would like to register ?" question. A light shareware really, you will see few differences. I hope this will be engough to help me finance P3dO enhancement without spending all my leisure time on it - that is the purpose of paying features. Impudicus Rex, as chriscox siad Rsr2Png plugin is the one ! It is available in freestuff section provided you have P3dO 1.5.2 or get it from link above. Yarp

well, what does the picture looks like in P4 ? I don't think it comes from your PC bit-depth - 16, 24 or 32 bits is the same for P3dO all pictures are uncoded with 32 bits depth. I would need the original .rsr file and I'll have a look at it. But first show me how it should look like. White should be transparent I suppose. yarp@senosoft.com btw New P3dO release 1.5.3 has an editor with alpha channel - available at SENO. You can copy/paste both the picture and alpha channel though being able to see what P3dO does.

yarp, I just wanted to say that this tool is a wondrous thing. I used the .png to .rsr converter to create .rsr files for 166 MAT files and 39 pose files in no time flat. And with all the pose files I have, I don't have to wander around for hours in my library tabs and still not find what I'm looking for. Thank you very much! darlisa
Will we soon see a bulk rsr to png converter that handles alpha channels as well? I'd like to add a request that it be able to do the whole Libraries folder at once (seeking out all pngs in all subfolders and converting them) rather than having to do things one folder at a time. It would also be cool if it had the option of deleting the pngs after conversion.

It does Ajax. Rsr2Png handles Alpha Channel. Doing the whole library at once has already been asked. I'll do it for sure but I don't know when. At the moment Rsr2Png rely on its own seeking algorithm. When I'll imrpove it it'll use the P3dO scan view. Then if you scan all subfolders from a root folder you'll have what you ask - automatically. Delete Png after conversion, same anwser. I know I have to hurry. Once P5 comes out Rsr2Png must have all these features.

Hey all, Currently I am attempting to convert all my nifty ProPack .PNGs to .RSRs so that I might migrate them to non-ProPack Poser peoples. Lo! What long repetitive duldroms! Does any one know how to do this expediently? I'm going buggy from excessive repetition. Here's the method I'm currently using for conversion: 1) I've set up an "action" in Potoshop to save a .PNG as a .PCT (RSR coverter in FreeStuff requires a .PCT image) 2) Next it run the "Automate" command in Photophop to apply this action to the folder conatining the .PNG files and save them all as .PCT files in a different directory. 3) I now have to remain all the generated .PCT files, as Photoshop appends each saved .PCT with a "copy" in the name. (This really annoys the bejeebus out of me) 4) Open up the RSRConverter, point to the .PCT and type in new name and save. RSRConverter will now exit, and I have to run it again, type in new name and save... repeat. Is there a better tool to do this? Can a step be eliminated somehow? If you've got a better method, I'd love to hear it. Thanks.
