Hi all. The same thing happened to me when I worked on really big scene. (about 8 mil. polygons) Same problems with render. No screen render, no disk render etc. Then I deleted this crazy extension (tifftifftiff or so :) ) and left only filename without extension. And then everything worked fine. Vue 4.03 on Duron 900 and 256 MB DDR RAM (Win XP PRO) (btw. Norton utilities works fine) I don't know bloodsong if this help you, however, you are not alone with this problem.
