People who are used to painters have taken me to task because i didn't waste my time making models... but hey, i don't mix my own oil paints, either, but nobody rips on me for that. >:^ i have asked them if they thought that some very fine crafts were not "art" because, say, the quilter didn't make the cloth or the sewing machine or the thread; or the wood-worker didn't grow the tree. If they want to think of 3D as a fine craft, then let them... and then ask them if any one of the incredible artists from the Arts & Crafts Movement isn't an artist!
