Ok, I posted this little "contest" too late in the day - so I only got one wonderful submission. I'll give away a free photorealistic face texture for Mike to whoever wins. The contest objective is to create the funniest looking, ugly baby, with the Millennium Baby, at Daz3D.

CatDabbler posted this picture, which I love:

The expression and pose is great. It is like this little person is in a ballerina dance, or competition on stage, and all the parents are shocked at her "unique look" and someone leans over to mom, and says, "ain't that your kid?" - and mom is just as proud as ever, without any embarassment signals an affirmative with a smile. Baby is waving "hi mom" from the stage. So cute. Or, if you want to look at the sad side of things, perhaps mom says, "Um, er, n-no, that's not my kid. I'm here with a friend. I don't
know who she's waving at." awww. lol

Lord... I think those pictures hurt my soul. I don't know if I'm going to be better... ever. :grins: Anz

Well, I'm just now downloading the baby, so when is the contest over?

I was thinking, and I decided that whoever enters will receive their choice between two photorealistic face textures, and the winner will receive both face textures. I plan on releasing these as a product, which will include about 10 photorealistic face textures for Mike, and hopefully to have a package for Vicky. Here is what you could win if you enter, and one of which you will certainly get if you enter. They may not be the best, or the most perfect, but hey, they're free (aside from purchasing the MilBaby) - If you enter, just send me a message letting me know which one you want. I would also like feedback/critique on the textures, but this is in no way some kind of "requirement" Ben MessianicArt.com

wow... that Jose is just.. really good. :grins: I mean.. wow. The other as well.. but Jose is just awesome. As for critique.. hmm... the eyes on both models are a bit TOO shiney.... They just twinkle a bit too much. But both are just real impressive. That's about all I can make out in that pic. Nicely done. Anz

Wow, thanks Anz! Yes, the "Wayne" texture would probably be better for more universal pictures, but "Jose" has more character. In real life, his name is Manuel, and his brother has some serious textures on his face, but I'm not done with it though. Wow, thanks for your compliments Anzan. Ben

oooh, I like them both! Jose would make a great cowboy!

Wow, I'm glad! I have some more I'm working on too. The main objective of this contest really is just to have fun, but the face textures a bonus.

Awww, so sweet. You make some great backgrounds! What are those in? I'll send you some info for the faces textures soon.

pokeydots ( ) posted Tue, 19 February 2002 at 8:21 AM

I usually do my backgrounds in paintshop pro. The ivy and things are tubes for paintshop that I purchased called Jungle 3D, and sometimes I use a filter called lattice xp. Thanks so much for the textures, I will post something later to show you how I used them :) sallie
