I ve been experimenting with animating mutiple characters in one scene its a bit processor intensive but so far it looks promising .

It's interesting, to say the least. I wonder how much more demanding it would be with adding clothing to everyone, how that would affect the processing time.

Well I render ALL of my poser animations in
Cinema 4DXL7 so clothing wouild not really affect
rendertime unless the clothing had alot of reflective and or tranparent textures.

Clothing however does have a sever effect on your
workflow when you are creating the character animations in poser.
with is why i always animate nude characters
export the BVH Files to be reimported after i have dressed the characters in my desired outfits.

Another impressive piece of animation. I hope to get to that level...some day.

That raises a question for me. I saw the videos over at DAZ that say they were "animated in Poser, rendered in Lightwave." In a nutshell, how does one go about this? Can you just open or import an animated Poser scene into these other apps? I'm gonna guess you can't do that in Bryce, huh? I've never been terrible stoked about the animations I've done in Poser, mostly for lighting and lack of atmospheric effects.

Thanks D.S.!!

Hiram: the poser propack comes with a free set of plugins that enables Cinema 4DXL , Lightwave and 3D studio MAX to import entire poser scenes for rendering with the high end effects available in these programs

it is THE reason why i bought the propack :-)

no no, it is the Lightwave plugin feature from Propack, i think, that allow to render animations in Lightwave 6 or 7+. I think that a third party program (forgot its name sorry, but you can search it there) can do it with bryce, but it is disguting unless you have an Overpowered computer !

The animations on the DAZ page are with the lightwave propack plugins but i wanted to make sure Hiram knew that there are similar propack plugins for the other programs that i mentioned.

the one for bryce is" natural pose" by conan.
search the archives of the bryce forum and you wiil certainly find a link to his site

I'll save you the trouble of searching:

Innuendo Software, home of konan's Natural Pose, Maximum Pose, truePose, and the Ultimate Dragon

Wow, what a great product. But sadly, as is often the case, I'm out in the cold on that one because I'm working on a Mac. I was really excited there for about 30 seconds though.

Don't give up hope, Hiram. konan got an iMac last month, and is learning the OS9/OSX ropes in order to create a new Poser morphing utility. Maybe he'll apply what he learns to Natural Pose, also.

I'll go get my knee-pads now.
