Phrank... *lol* well the Spaniards, - who invented this thing were inquisadores :) But they didn't use this for torture. As I said, St. Augustine is a clue, - as is the Spaniards who established the city more than 400 years ago. Alpha.. lol... nope! Actually, - the stone on top of it doesn't actually "do" anything. It was put there as an example of the material coquina, that was used to build most of the buildings here in these days. Coquina is actually compressed seashells and sand, - and is still found in large quantities here. This sample is from one of the walls on the fort. Britt
