What Linda said :-) I used to think a separate fractal gallery would be a good thing, but being part of a broader art community has been a really good experience for me, and others too I think. The feedback and interest from those outside the fractal community has been great, and my eyes have been opened to other forms of digital art as well, both as observer and participant. One of the disadvantages of fractal software is that at the beginning it is very easy to churn out large numbers of not very interesting images in rather er ... psychedelic colours - and there are times when fractal newsgroups etc can get flooded by enthuisiastic beginners posting them - I would hate to see that happen in a gallery here. A fractal forum sounds good to me though - especially if it remains as friendly and civil as the other forums on renderosity. I would be interested to see how it would develop here - there are times when the fractal world at large can get a bit hot under the collar!
