Subject: MAC PEOPLE! THE WAIT IS OVER!

After reading the thread about Mimic this morning, I sent off a really angry letter to LipSinc and received the following reply from Doug Perkowski: "Mimic for MAC is due out before the end of the month. Sorry if you took offense to our Marketing messaging on our website. I hope that us making the product after all will be a suitable apology for our initial market research." Woo-hoo!! (insert happy dance here)

Please see my message below stating Doug's verbatim reply. And, the part I'm pleased the most about is that they're making the offer to trade CDs!

Now the cynic in me comes out and says: watch, it'll be OSX specific....

A thread that goes - Mac people the wait is over - could only have been about one thing. ... and we dont think, do we, that this is because someone mentioned the F word? (free?)

Perhaps you could share what it is you think here? For myself, I'm just happy they're finally releasing it. Like many others, we've only been waiting around for a year now for Mimic in Mac format, so, yes, this is cause for celebration, at least for me, thank you. Anything beyond that? Well, tell us, xv: what did you have in mind?

This (Mac) animator thinks the trade in is terrific news; one more reason not to have to boot up the PC!

Virtual, The floor will be so covered with happy dancing feet that even Arthur Murray wouldn't be able to straighten them out! Yippee! Maybe I can do my singing dragon before year's end after all. :) Carolly

Funny, I emailed lipsink last year who returned some encouraging advice. When I emailed back, the same person denied having anything to do with mimic or lipsinking. VirtualSite LS may be encouraged to release it if they think a UNIX doer is about to release an X compatible version for free. (Ps- Any UNIX people listening)
